Violet the muscle woman

After a long day
(Training, MRT ride, brave the crowds at Chingay, MRT again,
River Hong Bao, Shopping),
I'm dead tired! And on the way to send Violet off.
zzzZZZ... Poor Violet, her luggage is way over-weight.
She had to re-pack the whole luggage,
and hand carry some if not cannot fly back to Shanghai.
The hand carry bads are also very heavy!
Good training for bi-ceps. Hahahaha.
It's all food stuff. And they are not for herself.
HELP! Distressed Violet...
Finally closed the big luggage.
The ground crew close one eye and let poor Violet off.

Chingay + River Hong Bao '07

After parking car at Marina Sq, I realized that I board the "thief" car, because this Yvonne suggest that we should go to Orchard Road for the Chingay Parade.
I reluctantly agreed. We took a train from City Hall to Orchard. And this is Yvonne first train ride after dont know how many donkey years ago.
Dont they look like tourist? Hahaha, well we acted like we are tourists. I'm from Bangkok, Sawadeeca. Yvon's from Japan, Konichiwa. I forgotten where Yuan's from. Hahaha Maybe from China, Ni Hao.
Chingay'07
We are standing in front of Ngee Ann City. Hmm, kind of the "best grand stand" we could find.
Arrival of Mr President!
We wave with all our might to try and get his attention.
He was standing in front in maroon. Dont ask me who are the rest, I dont know them, ohh, funny man, Gurmit Singh standing at the back.
Look at the crowds. They were climbing on to of the pillar trying to catch a glimpse of the parade. We even pass by these 3 public phone booth in between Wisma and Ngee Ann seeing 3 man sitting on top of the booth. "Fu, Lu, Shou"
Esprit wasnt spare too.
Performance by the Brazilians.
Yvonne thought she could peep underneath the grand stand seats.
See what?! Not a thing.
Band from Seoul.
Apparently it's a all Korean girls band.
감사합니다! (Kam-sa-ham-ni-da)
We quickly rush back to City Hall for the fireworks. Darn! They started early and this is the only one I manage to snap. The tiny purple one.
But of course we caught a few before it ends.
Doesnt this look like some night bazaar from China? No, it's River Hong Bao lah.
now they look like Singaporeans visiting China.

CNY Dinner

We started with taking group pictures... here we are with our sMi1essssssss...

Ahhh This one brighter.

Yum Yum... *slurp*

The food's not bad...

We were so hungry that we wiped out the food in less than 1hour!

After ordering we ask uncle (the boss) if we will have a free dish, 'cause the banner says order $50 and above we'll get 1 free dish, and uncle said the promotion was during the opening.
Chey~~~
But uncle gave us free dessert! Ask, and it will be given to you; (seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you) **oops, xiang tai duo ler... hee

Jayne volunteered to served us. She was a part time waitress before.

After having a sip of the dessert, I commented that it taste a little sour.

And guess what Belinda reply?
"Ohh, because of the LONG GANs, thats why a bit sour."

The rest of the 5 of us, went "HUH?"

"What you call that again?"

Belinda: "LONG GANS".

5 of us: "Long gans?"

Yunjie: "Yar, LONG GANS"

*5 of us burst out laughing*

Yugui: "It's LONG GANS. No?"

*laughs*

Jayne: "Yar it's called LONG GANS."

Garang Guni

While you all were rowing hard at Kallang, I was hard at work selling my once loved possessions at Tanglin Mall. It was alot of fun and we should do this together next time ... after the races, that is. You won't believe what people would buy ... we shocked ourselves too ... but then the prices were really rock bottom...

Thanks for coming by and supporting me .. hope you're happy with your item, Jayne! :p

HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)
